Sabins, Jr. Sadly, Floyd passed away in early February He was totally engaged clarifying principles, improving exploration examples, and creating new interpretation maps when he passed. The textbook establishes a solid foundation for intelligent and accurate use of remote sensing with an emphasis on principles, focus on sensor technology and image acquisition, and inclusion of a broad range of practical and research-oriented applications. There is enough depth in the textbook for both undergraduate and graduate students, and enough structure to support individuals outside of academics who are eager to learn how remote sensing can help them improve their scientific knowledge and impact in the workplace.
